Gospel-turned-contemporary musician Bahati will on Thursday noon (December 3, 2020) release on YouTube a music video of his new song “Mtaachana Tuu”.

Mtaachana tu is a Swahili phrase popular on social media which means “you will eventually break up, [despite portraying your relationship as perfect]”.

Bahati has featured his wife and mother of his two children, Diana Marua, in the song.

This comes on the back of speculation that the two had gone separate ways after three years of marriage.

The rumours swirled after Diana Marua deleted all pictures of Bahati on her Instagram page.

The speculation was further fuelled by Bahati’s move to stop posting on his Facebook and Instagram pages pictures of his wife as he used to do — religiously — before the split reports.

With the latest release in town, it is clear that Bahati pulled one of the many publicity stunts that modern-day artistes engage in to attract clout before they finally release their projects, anticipating that the attention they got before the release will translate to massive YouTube views and endless chatter.
