Baba Talisha pays heartfelt tribute to late wife Milkah on her fifth death anniversary

Milkah, known affectionately as Mama Talisha, lost her life in the accident while travelling with her husband, Faustine, popularly known as Baba T.
The tragedy occurred on August 15, 2020, leaving friends, family, and followers in shock and grief.

In a post shared on Instagram on Friday, August 15, 2025, Faustine reflected on the enduring impact of her absence.
He described Milkah as a woman whose love, laughter, and warmth continue to shape their lives.
He added that, even though she is no longer physically present, her spirit lives on in their daughter and in the cherished memories of family and friends.
“5 years ago today, on 15th August 2020, I lost the love of my life in a tragic road accident. Mama Talisha, your love still lives in our hearts, your smile still lights our memories, and your spirit shines through our daughter every day,” he wrote.
He insisted that while the grief remains, the lessons and love Milkah imparted continue to guide him daily.
Baba T also reflected on the enduring legacy of Milkah’s life, noting that her kindness and unshakeable faith have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. He expressed gratitude for the time they shared, emphasising that her memory continues to inspire him and provide comfort amidst the sorrow.
“You may be gone from our sight, but never from our souls. Until we meet again,” he wrote, accompanied by a touching photo.

Accident’s toll
The tribute comes just months after the famous photographer shared the heart-wrenching story of how the tragic road accident claimed the life of his wife and left their young daughter, Talisha, with devastating brain injuries.
In a candid conversation with a local media station on Friday night, July 25, 2025, he explained how Talisha became a neurodivergent child after the fatal road accident.

Lipuku said that Talisha was born a typical child but, following the accident, acquired Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 2, ADHD (Combined Type), and Dyslexia.
“She was not born like this, but it is due to the accident we had recently. She was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 2, ADHD Combined Type, and Dyslexia,” he explained.
“She had a severe brain injury. At the back, she had a concussion, which made blood get to her brain so it swelled; that is why she was admitted to the ICU, she lost speech, her ulimi ilikuwa imekatika yani alirudi kuwa mtoto tu; she was two years by then, but before the accident, she was a normal kid. She acquired the conditions through the accident.”
