Social media personality Faustine Baba Talisha, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, continued marking the fifth anniversary of his wife’s death in a tragic road accident by holding a solemn tribute along Thika Road, the very spot where the accident occurred.

Carrying a bouquet of roses, Baba Talisha stood on a section of the busy highway before carefully plucking the flowers one by one and sprinkling them at the exact spot where his wife, Milkah, popularly known as Mama Talisha, lost her life.

In a video shared on his TikTok page, Baba Talisha was seen standing quietly behind a guard rail on the busy Thika Superhighway, holding a bouquet of roses in his hands. He remained there for several minutes in deep silence, appearing reflective as only a few vehicles passed by.

After the moment of stillness, he began plucking the roses one by one and gently scattering them across a precise section of the road where the accident that claimed his wife’s life occurred. Once the flowers were gone, he tossed the entire bouquet onto the spot, leaving the area covered with petals before slowly walking away.

Alongside the emotional gesture, he used the video to send a heartfelt message of solidarity to families who have endured similar losses.

He said that only those who have lost loved ones in road accidents can truly understand the depth of such pain. “To anyone who lost a loved one in a road accident,” he posted.

The accident happened on Saturday, August 15, 2020, leaving him hospitalised and their young daughter traumatised by the incident.

The photographer explained that the stretch of road holds deep personal pain, as he and his daughter nearly lost their lives in the same accident.

Death anniversary

Earlier on Friday, August 15, 2025, the exact day Milkah’s death anniversary hit five years, Baba Talisha shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, where he reflected on the void left by his wife’s absence.

He described Milkah as a woman whose love, laughter, and kindness still guide him and their daughter, noting that her spirit continues to live on through cherished memories.

“5 years ago today, on 15th August 2020, I lost the love of my life in a tragic road accident. Mama Talisha, your love still lives in our hearts, your smile still lights our memories, and your spirit shines through our daughter every day,” he wrote.

He went on to emphasise that the lessons and faith Milkah lived by remain a constant source of strength to him.

“You may be gone from our sight, but never from our souls. Until we meet again,” he added.

The anniversary comes just weeks after Baba Talisha opened up about the long-term effects the accident had on their daughter, Talisha.

During an interview in July 2024, he revealed that the injuries she suffered in the crash led to her being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 2, ADHD (Combined Type), and Dyslexia.

According to him, she was a typical child before the accident, but sustained severe brain injuries that left her hospitalised in the ICU and later changed her developmental journey.

Despite the challenges, he has continued to raise Talisha while keeping his late wife’s memory alive through regular tributes.

“She was not born like this, but it is due to the accident we had recently. She was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 2, ADHD Combined Type, and Dyslexia. She had a severe brain injury. At the back, she had a concussion, which made blood get to her brain so it swelled; that is why she was admitted to the ICU, she lost speech, her ulimi ilikuwa imekatika yani alirudi kuwa mtoto tu; she was two years by then, but before the accident, she was a normal kid. She acquired the conditions through the accident.”
