Apostle Joshua Selman rolls out red carpet for Julian Kyula during Nigeria convention
By Steve Ireri, November 21, 2025Ruach Assemblies head preacher Reverend Julian Kyula was treated to a red carpet welcome after heeding an invitation by Koinonia Global Ministries founder Apostle Joshua Selman to be the headlining preacher on day three of the Koinonia Global Faith Convention in Lagos, Nigeria.
In a livestream shared on Facebook on Friday, November 21, 2025, the Apostle, who was clad in a white suit, is seen asking everyone who had attended the convention to rise and cheer for Reverend Kyula.
Kyula then rose to the podium where flowers had been meticulously arranged, and Apostle Joshua Selman gave him an emotional embrace as the choir erupted into jubilant song and the congregation continued to cheer with unrestrained excitement.
In the video, the man of God is seen whispering words into Kyula’s ears and guiding him to a designated pulpit from which he would minister, ensuring that every step of the transition radiated respect and admiration.

While inviting him to the podium, the Apostle took time to narrate to the congregants the depth of his friendship with the Kenyan pastor, whose church is headquartered along Northern Bypass.
He first said that he was happy and honoured to welcome him all the way from Kenya and expressed his deep fondness for the country, admitting that Kenya had made a profound and personal impact on him.
“We are happy and honoured to have him all the way from the beautiful nation of Kenya. Now I love Africa, but I love Kenya. I do not know what you have done to me, Kenya, but I love Kenya seriously,” he said.
Selman emphasised that he had known Reverend Julian Kyula for several years and described him as a man of integrity and virtue.
“I have known Reverend Julian Kyula for a few years, and my testimony as far as my relationship with him is concerned is that he is a good man. Beyond being Godly and intelligent, beyond being a loving man, he truly embodies the character of the Spirit called goodness. I have had the honour of ministering on his platform, and I go to Kenya every year, and in fact at the Rhema Feast, it is always an incredible encounter,” Selman added.
The man of God then recalled that ministering on Kyula’s platform and attending the Rhema Feast had been extraordinary experiences, noting that God had helped, lifted, and honoured the pastor over time.
He affirmed that his relationship with Kyula extended even to his family, and admitted that he was tempted to share more of Kyula’s story but refrained so as not to distract the congregation.
“We have seen God help him, we have seen God lift him and honour him, and my relationship has extended even to his family, and I am tempted to tell you his story even, but I do not want to distract you this morning. Reverend Julian, we love you,” Selman shared.
The convention, which is Nigeria’s version of Kenya’s Rhema Feast, will conclude on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
Alongside Reverend Julian Kyula, the convention was graced by other key ministers of the gospel, including Lady Bishop Funke Felix Adejumo, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Nathaniel Bassey, and Bishop David Abioye, among others.
