Edday Nderitu and her husband Samidoh are having the best time together in the US as Karen Nyamu continues to clash with a section of Kenyans over her support for the controversial Finance Bill 2024.
The US-based mother of three strongly rejects Finance Bill 2024 while her husband’s baby mama Nyamu strongly supports the bill.
In a post on social media on Friday night June 21, 2024, Edday teased fans to share their thoughts as she was seen lovingly embracing Samidoh in a post she shared.
She also voiced her rejection of the Finance Bill 2024.

Edday’s Facebook post sent social media into a frenzy as anti-Finance Bill supporters almost immediately started mocking Karen Nyamu.
Some suggested that Samodoh ran back into the loving arms of his first wife to punish Karen Nyamu for supporting the Finance Bill.
Edday only laughed off suggestions that Karen Nyamu’s support for the Finance Bill had made Samidoh to pull a Murife on her.

“🤣,” Edday responded with laugh emojis.
“Gademit. Revolution everywhere. This is Samidoh’s punishment to Karen Nyamu for supporting the Finance Bill. We are winning guys!” Martha Mwihaki Hinga commented.
“🤣🤣🤣🤣,” Edday laughed off the comment.
Samidoh has been in the US for about a fortnight.
The Mugithi musician last week attended his eldest daughter, Shirleen, graduation in the US.
During a dinner with their family after the graduation ceremony, Edday and Samidoh packed on the PDA like Romeo and Juliet.
In a video that quickly went viral, Samidoh made light-hearted remarks about feeling too young to have a child in high school.
He humorously suggested that their daughter should repeat a grade.
“You have heard what my husband has said,” Edday added, supporting Samidoh’s playful comments.
“Even when you look at our faces, we look very young,” Samidoh added as he playfully hugged his wife.
Karen Nyamu’s support for Finance Bill
In a strategic move to quell rising tensions and protests against the Finance Bill 2024, President William Ruto hosted a Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting at the State House on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.
During this critical gathering, President Ruto announced the scrapping of the highly contentious Eco levy, marking a significant shift in the bill’s provisions.
Among the notable leaders in attendance was nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, who kept her followers updated with live commentary from the event.
“Dissecting the finance bill at the ongoing Kenya Kwanza PG at State House,” she posted, signalling her active participation in the discussions.
Following the meeting, Nyamu shared more candid moments with the President, captioning her photos with, “Mr. President akiniona tu lazima anienjoy ah 😄😄,” showcasing their light-hearted interactions.
However, her posts quickly sparked controversy among netizens who questioned her stance on the Eco Levy, particularly concerning the cost of sanitary products.
One concerned Kenyan commented, “Umesema you do not care about pads prices juu unatumia tampons? 🤔🤔🤔🤔,” reflecting widespread discontent and the financial burden on essential goods.
Nyamu responded directly on Instagram, writing, “….@wanjikustephens hehehe does it mean if u use pads u don’t care about tampons. I use tampons yes!”
Karen Nyamu’s comment triggered an overflowing of criticism from netizens who accused her of being insensitive to the pains Kenyans are feeling as a result of increased taxation.
On Friday, June 21, 2024, critics were at her again when she took to social media to mourn Rex Masai who was shot dead amidst the protests on Thursday.
“Woiye haikua ifike hapa. Using live bullets in a peaceful protest of un armed protesters is a no. When will we come of age, where protesters do their thing with zero loss of lives

In a quick rejoinder, Karen Nyamu noted that her unwavering support for Ruto does not negate her empathy as a human being.
“@kinyanjui.ii My side is known and it’s obvious. I support the president 100% But it’s not a matter of life and death,” Karen Nyamu responded.
