Baba Talisha recalls time his TikTok account was banned for showing daughter in therapy

Tiktoker Faustine Lipuku, popularly known as Baba Talisha, has finally broken his silence on the reasons his first-ever TikTok account was blocked.

Speaking in an interview shared by SPM Buzz on TikTok on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, he revealed that the account was suspended after he posted a video showing his daughter, Baby Talisha, during a therapy session.

Baba Talisha said he remembers the strict moderation policies that existed when he first joined the platform.

“TikTok has changed, and explicit adult content is all over with no censorship. Yesterday, I saw a live recording where people were having sex, and no action was taken against them. TikTok was not like that before,” he said.

Baba T said that way back, even a child was not allowed to go live, and if the app noticed a child streaming, they would block the account.

“At the time, even children were not allowed to go live, and the app would automatically block accounts if it detected minors streaming content,” he said.

He explained that his original account was blocked for sharing Baby Talisha’s therapy session, despite it being a personal and educational post.

“I remember my first TikTok account was blocked because I showed Talisha undergoing therapy,” he said.

Baba Talisha expressed concern about how TikTok has changed over time.

He noted that explicit adult content is now widespread, often with no action taken against violators.

He recalled seeing live streams where people were engaging in sexual activity, yet the accounts remained active.

“Right now, TikTok has changed, and explicit adult content is all over with no censorship. Yesterday, I saw a recording where people were having sex live, and there was no action taken against them. TikTok was not like that before,” he said.

He further criticised the platform for allowing content that he described as toxic, highlighting how some users even involve their families in inappropriate exchanges.

“It has become a very toxic app. You will see even people exchanging words with their parents and family members on the app. They even ruin jobs for other people. It’s so bad, and I feel like the rules that could govern people from doing such things don’t exist here in Kenya,” Baba Talisha said.

Despite these concerns, he acknowledged TikTok’s potential as a monetised platform, noting that creators could earn significantly if the platform maintained stricter content controls.

“TikTok is a very good platform, and if it is monetised properly, we could be earning a lot of money,” he said.
