Another fuel tanker has, on Monday evening, overturned at Kasagam flyover along the Kisumu-Nyamasaria road.

No casualty has been reported from the tragedy.

According to preliminary information accessed by K24 Digital, police responded swiftly by arriving at the scene of the accident on time.

Reports indicate that local residents were already armed with jerrycans to siphon off fuel from the tanker only to be met by police officers who were ready to block them.

The tragedy comes barely two days after 15 people perished in a fire tragedy that occurred at Malanga trading centre on the Kisumu-Busia highway on Saturday night.

It began when a section of locals rushed to a scene of the accident where a fuel tanker had overturned and started siphoning off fuel.

While some managed to scoop some fuel, others were unlucky as the tanker burst into flames leaving some dead and several others severely injured.

13 people died on the spot while two others succumbed to burn injuries while undergoing medication.
