Police in Juja, Kiambu County have arrested one woman in connection to the brutal murder of a 23-year-old man in Mastor Estate.
Confirming the unfortunate incident, Juja Police Commander Jackson Sang noted that Cynthia Nakato, a suspected foreigner, stabbed her victim more than seven times killing him on the spot.
The police, however, noted that the cause of the incident remains unknown but investigations are currently underway.
“From what we are hearing, I am confirming to you that the issue you have heard maybe rumours,m I want to confirm that it happened. One young man of 23 years by the name Peter Macharia was stabbed severally by a lady friend. What caused this commotion is not exactly identified investigation is underway to confirm what really transpired.
“The lady stabbed this man more than seven times, leading to his death. The lady by the name Nakato is suspected to be a foreigner; she is in custody and investigations to take her to court is in progress,” police said.
The body of the deceased was moved to Thika General Kago Mortuary pending an autopsy.
Separate incident
The latest comes a day after police in Huruma Estate, Nairobi arrested one person of interest after recovering human body parts stashed in a bag he was carrying on his back.
According to a statement by the National Police Service (NPS), the 29-year-old was caught at 5 am by police during patrol.
When the officers searched his bag, they found the said human body parts.
“Police in Huruma, Nairobi Area on 21/01/2025 at about 0500 hrs while on patrol within Kelly Towers Area arrested a male adult suspect carrying a bag on his back and upon conducting a search, found a bag stashed with body parts of a human being,” the statement read in part.
Upon his arrest, the man led police to a separate house where more dismembered body parts were discovered hidden under a bed.
“Also recovered from the crime scene was a blood-stained kitchen knife and female clothes suspected to have been the weapon of murder and cloths for the deceased respectively. The floor of the house was really stained with blood,” NPS added.
He further confessed to the crimes saying that the discovered body parts belonged to his female lover.
The body remains were moved to City Mortuary where an autopsy will be conducted.
The 29-year-old was moved to custody pending arraignment in court.
“The body parts have been moved to City Mortuary awaiting postmortem analysis. The motive of the murder is yet to be established, but the suspect is in police custody. The case is pending before court vide CR 126/12/2025, with DCI Starehe dealing,” police added.
