3 counties to experience power outage on Tuesday

Kenya Power has announced there will be a power outage that will affect at least three counties on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

In a statement shared on their X  account, the utility company announced that the outages would be as a result of planned maintenance of power lines.

“Hello, please be advised, the following areas will be undergoing planned maintenance tomorrow (02.07.2024),”  their statement read in part.

Despite the outage being temporary, it is anticipated that various sectors and activities in the listed counties will be affected.

Among the counties that will be affected include Kiambu, Busia and Uasin Gishu.

Kiambu County

Area: Juja Gachochoro

Time: 9.00 am – 5.00 pm

The areas that will be affected include parts of Juja Mungetho, Juja Murimaini, Kuraiha Est, Bravers, Kiaora Est, Mtaro Est, Kariki Est, Nchengo Coffee Farm, Azania Farm, Kijito Est, Bob Harries and adjacent customers.

Busia County

Area: Butura, Bumutiru

Time: 9.00 am – 5.00 pm

In Busia County, the areas that will be affected include, Butula, Bumutiru, Murumba, Khunyangu Hosp, Oloo Mkt, Benga University, Bar Ober, Tingolo, Jera, Masende Bale and adjacent customers.

Uasin Gishu County

Area: Kipkorgot, Carbacid

Time: 10.00 am – 5.00 pm

The areas to be affected include, Kipkorgot, RCEA Bible College, Carbacid, Naiberi Center, Plateau Hosp, Kipsinende Farm and adjacent customers.
