Willis Otieno challenges Oscar Sudi to solve calculus after engineer remark

The Sunday, August 3, 2025, challenge came in response to a photo posted by MP Sudi during the traditional dowry payment ceremony of PS Belio Kipsang’s son, Brian Belio, where he captioned, “When an engineer is in the house, even politics takes a backseat!”
In a quick retort, Otieno posted, “Kenya must be running a whole polytechnic in mediocrity. Oya, Mr. Engineer, solve the integral: ∫ (2x) / (x² + 1) dx,” subtly referencing longstanding debates around the MP’s educational background.
Sudi graces dowry ceremony
Sudi on Saturday, August 2, 2025, attended the traditional dowry ceremony for Brian Belio, son of Principal Secretary for Immigration and Citizen Services Belio Kipsang, and Nicole Langat, daughter of prominent businessman David Langat.
The event, held in accordance with the Tumdoab Kanyiook tradition, was a celebration of love, respect, and gratitude—core values of the Kalenjin community.
The ceremony marked a significant cultural milestone, bringing together family members, friends, and dignitaries to witness the union and reaffirm traditional values.

“I attended the traditional dowry presentation for Brian Belio, son of Belio Kipsang, Principal Secretary for Immigration and Citizen Services, and Nicole Langat, daughter of businessman David Langat. The dowry presentation was marked with Tumdoab Kanyiook, a tradition symbolising respect and gratitude,” Sudi stated.
