Sarah Wairimu, the slain Tob Cohen’s widow, now wants the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to pay her Sh500 million for damages and potential losss of her Kitisuru home.

In an application filed by her lawyer, Philip Murgor, Wairimu also wants the DCI head, George Kinoti, personally summoned in court to render full account of what has happened to the posh home.

Wairimu also sued the Registrar of Births and Deaths, demanding a death certificate of her husband.

The widow — who was charged with the murder of the late Cohen — is accusing DCI of illegal seizure and detention of her property.

On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, Justice Lydia Achode said she has to hear from both parties first and set January 15, 2020 for the hearing.

Wairimu has previously made applications seeking access to the home to pick her clothes and car.

Detectives, however, objected to the application arguing that investigations were still ongoing.
