Armed robbers on Thursday night stormed a public secondary school in Kakamega County, killed three night guards, injured one and stole goods worth Sh150,000.

In a police report seen by K24 Digital , Edward Malala Wanyama, 40, Henry Khaoya, 55 and Evans Wanyonyi, 56 who have been working as guards at Kivaywa Boys High School were killed during the robbery.

A guard by the name Situma Sitikho aged 45 sustained internal injuries and is admitted at Webuye County Hospital in stable condition. Luca Wanjala,45 escaped unhurt.

“Wanyama sustained a deep cut on the head caused by a blunt object while Wanyonyi sustained a severe head injury,” a statement filed at Matete Police Station read in part.

Tom Shavisa the principal of Kivaywa Boys High School said that the robbers who are yet to be identified made away with one Television set, one laptop, public address system and some cash money valued at Ksh150,000.

The bodies were removed to Webuye Hospital Mortuary awaiting post mortem.
