Kenya Power has announced a temporary blackout scheduled to affect several areas across Nairobi, Nakuru, and Bungoma counties on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

The utility company attributed this interruption to routine network maintenance.

In Nairobi County, the affected areas include Ruaraka and parts of Eastleigh. Specifically, residents along Lumumba Drive, Mirema Drive, USIU, Panafric, and the Northern Bypass, among others, will experience the outage from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Similarly, parts of Eastleigh, including Mohammed Yusuf Haji Avenue, Ismail Hassan, and Moyale Mall, will also be affected during the same period.

In Nakuru County, the blackout will impact Njoro and Rongai areas from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Customers in these areas, including institutions like Kenya Pipeline Company, Egerton University, and various commercial enterprises such as Sojamin Flowers and Daima Milk, should expect temporary service disruption.

Meanwhile, in Bungoma County, Webuye Town and surrounding areas will experience a power outage from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This includes locations like Nabuyole Water Treatment Plant, Milo, Matulo, and Matete, among others.
