Six people have been killed and others left with gunshots and cut wounds in an attack suspected to have been conducted by Al-Shaabab terrorists in Withu Majembeni Village of Lamu County.
The attack happened on Sunday around 10:00 pm when people believed to be terrorists entered the village.
The terrorists also left some victims homeless after they torched their houses.
Confirming the incident, Lamu County Commissioner said one of the victims was hacked to death while four others were torched in their houses and the other one was shot using a gun.
Security of the village has now been beefed up after KDF and police officers were deployed to guard the residents.
