A middle-aged man was on Thursday morning found dead along Kisian-Bondo road in Kisumu County.

According to Kisumu County Police Commander Samuel Anampiu, the matter was reported to them by Dominic Ogonda the brother to the deceased identified as Nicholas Onyango at about 1000HRS.

“My officers from Maseno police station visited the scene and established that the deceased was found lying in a pool of blood with a sharp cut wound on the forehead,” said Anampiu.

Police say the deceased left home at Ogalo on June 2 at 1900HRS but never returned.

His remains have been taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching And Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) mortuary awaiting a postmortem examination.

Area residents suspected that the deceased was killed elsewhere and body dumped along the road.
