Salasya vows to rekindle prayer life in new spiritual move

In a heartfelt reflection shared via his official X account on the night of Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the youthful MP revealed that in 2012, he was a dedicated preacher and intercessor, walking closely with his faith and serving through prayer and worship.
“2012 I was a very powerful preacher and intercessor. The latter anointing was big. When I used to pray, the Holy Spirit could descend and slay the people of God,” Salasya recalled.
Embracing Christianity
Declaring Jesus Christ as his personal saviour, Salasya affirmed that his passion for worship has never faded—and now he is ready to embrace it again fully.
“Jesus is my personal saviour, and forever I will worship him. I am going back to worship life. I really want to start going for Keshas worship experience,” he stated.
The Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) first-term MP also hinted at a change in lifestyle, including re-evaluating his friendships and personal decisions to align more closely with his renewed faith.
“I want to change friends, etc. I want to become a good boy, a worshipper, for I love worship so much,” Salasya wrote on X.
Salasya’s focus on 2027
The announcement comes days after Salasya reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the 2027 presidential race.
Taking to his official X account on the night of Thursday, July 17, 2025, Salasya stated that he has put his personal life on hold to fully pursue the highest seat in the land.
In a passionate reflection shared with the public, Salasya compared his current focus to the sacrifice he made from 2017 to 2022, when he devoted his life to winning his parliamentary seat.
“2022, before the election, when I visited my friend in Nairobi, and the July 2025 photo. I want to work hard to get the presidency and make sure every youth lives his dream. I have now stopped my life and focused on the presidency in 2027, the way I stopped my life from 2017 to 2022 to get an MP seat,” Salasya stated.
