In his post, Raila Jnr added that a memorial service will be held at Consolata Shrine in Westlands on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 9.00 am.

He further revealed that “we will lay her to rest at Kango Ka Jaramogi on Saturday, 6th December 2025. “May her memory continue to guide and inspire those she loved.”
A family in mourning
The announcement by Raila Jnr comes just a day after the Odinga family appealed to Kenyans of goodwill to support funeral arrangements for the late Beryl Achieng, the younger sister of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
In a message, Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odinga said the family would host a Holy Mass and mini fundraiser at House Number 5, Mwingi Villas, along Mwingi Road in Kileleshwa from 4.00 p.m.
Ruth described the gathering as an emotional moment of reflection and unity.

“An evening of prayer, remembrance, and support as we honor the life and legacy of Beryl Achieng Odinga,” Ruth Odinga said.
The family has asked Kenyans who wish to contribute to send their support to the Beryl Achieng Odinga Funeral Fund, Paybill 8002413, using their full names as the account name.
“Together, we extend our heartfelt comfort and solidarity to the family she loved so dearly. Rest in eternal peace, Beryl,” Ruth added.
A life remembered
Beryl Achieng, who passed away on Tuesday, November 25, is remembered as warm, compassionate and deeply devoted to her family.
She was the daughter of Kenya’s first Vice President, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, and Mary Ajuma Oginga. She leaves behind three children, Ami, Auma and Chizi.

Her death came just weeks after Kenya mourned the passing of her brother, the late Raila Odinga, leaving the family navigating a difficult season marked by two heartbreaking losses.
Tributes have continued to pour in from leaders, friends and Kenyans across the country, many describing Beryl as gentle and supportive, a woman who carried her family quietly but strongly.
As the dates for the memorial and burial draw near, the Odinga family has expressed gratitude for the comfort shown by Kenyans and the extended political community.
The coming days will mark emotional moments as the nation stands with one of its most prominent families to honor a woman whose life touched many.
