Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni is mourning the loss of her father, Philip Muriuki Ngari, who passed away after battling a long-time illness.
The PS shared the sorrowful news, revealing that her father had spent months in the hospital before being discharged to continue his recovery at home, where he was dependent on constant oxygen.
Muriuki passed away just hours after Muthoni’s final visit on Wednesday.
“I’m writing to share some sorrowful news. Some of you may recall that my father had been gravely ill and was in the hospital for the last couple of months. We managed to bring him home, though he required constant oxygen. I regret to inform you that he has sadly passed away. Yesterday evening, I spent some time with him, unaware it would be my last moment seeing him alive. May you rest in peace, Papa,” Muthoni announced on her X account on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
