Pastor, his 3 brothers castrate Murang’a man ‘to teach him a lesson’

A 43-year-old man from Murang’a County is in pain after his testicles were allegedly crushed by four brothers who accused him of stealing their eight goats.

James Mwangi says the suspects, who are yet to be arrested, lured him out of his house at night two weeks ago and meted out the brutal attack on him.

Mwangi further claims the brothers burnt his buttocks using a hot panga, demanding he shows them where he had taken the stolen goats.

The victim told the men that he did not steal their goats, triggering inhumane wrath from the brothers.

One of the suspects, a pastor who operates a church in Kahawa Sukari, allegedly whipped out a pair of pliers and crushed Mwangi’s genitals.

“My screams of pain and distress did not stop the brothers from meting out more brutal attack on me. Instead, they continued burning my thighs, legs and buttocks using a panga that they had placed in hot charcol,” said Mwangi.

Satisfied that they had “taught Mwangi a lesson”, the suspects allegedly tied the victim’s arms and legs before speeding away.

Mwangi’s elder brother found him in critical condition at place not far from his [Mwangi’s] house.

The victim’s kinsperson filed a report at a Murang’a police station, and, thereafter, took Mwangi to Murang’a Level 5 Hospital, where he was treated and discharged.

According to Mwangi’s family, the suspects are yet to be arrested, and that the law enforcement officers in the area are afraid of apprehending them, given one of the perpetrators is a police officer.

Mwangi says ever since that incident, he has been experiencing “agonising pain” in his genitals.

“I can’t pass urine comfortably, and sometimes, my manhood oozes pus,” said Mwangi.

The victim, a father of one, says he fears he would not be able to sire more children.

“My wife and I had planned to have four children. I now fear that would not be possible,” said Mwangi.

The victim’s wife, Rose Wanjiru, who is expecting a second baby with Mwangi, says her husband has been the sole bread-winner in their family, and that life has become difficult ever since Mwangi was attacked.
