Former ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo is among the high-profile political leaders who graced the wedding ceremony of Siaya Governor James Orengo’s son, Michael Orengo.
In a statement on Saturday, October 26, 2024, Owalo who was recently appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Executive Office of the President, indicated that Michael Orengo tied the knot with Samantha Luseno.
The colourful nuptial ceremony was held at ACK All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
In his statement, Owalo wished the two a happy marriage full of blessings.
“I have this morning attended the wedding ceremony of Michael Orengo and Samantha Luseno at the ACK All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi,” Owalo’s statement read in part.
“Michael is the son to James and Betty Orengo while Samantha is the daughter to Evans and Marrie Luseno. I wish the couple the best in their future together.”
High-profile guests
In the photos shared by Owalo, the wedding was attended by some imminent persons who Governor Orengo welcomed.
Former Jubilee Chairperson David Murathe who has been missing in the public limelight for a while now, was among the guests who attended Michael and Samantha’s wedding.
Former Cabinet Secretary without portfolio who also served as Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju, also attended the wedding at ACK All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
Muhoho Kenyatta was also in attendance as Orengo’s son officially sealed his union.

Traditional wedding
The wedding comes a year after Michael Orengo and his wife Samantha held their traditional marriage ceremony which was also attended by high-profile persons including former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The traditional ceremony was held in September 2023 in a private ceremony in Vihiga County.
CS Wycliffe Oparanya, Busia Governor Paul Otuoma, Migori Governor Ochilo Ayako, and Vihiga Governor Wilber Ottichilo accompanied the former Prime Minster.
Other leaders included Senator Godfrey Osotsi, Vihiga woman rep Beatrice Adagala, and Siaya Woman MP Christine Ombaka.
“Intermarriage within the country will help much to unite Kenyans,” Raila said.
“We are here like one people and this will help us to unite.”
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Gladys Shollei also attended the traditional wedding ceremony.
