The family of a Siaya based businessman who disappeared mysteriously a fortnight ago is now calling on the police and well-wishers to help in tracing him.

Joshua Wanjala Odhiambo, 34, who is a businessman at Boro trading centre in Siaya County has not been seen since June 30, 2021, when he left his shop at around midday.

According to his wife Mrs, Shamila Namathe, on the material day, the businessman told her that he was going to meet some people at a nearby road junction but did not disclose who they were.

“That was the last time I saw him and we have not communicated since,” Namathe said, adding that efforts to trace him have not yielded any fruits.

Speaking to the media in Siaya, Namathe said she has extended the search to Matayos in the neighbouring Busia County, their native home.

“I have visited Siaya police station and even the chief’s office in Boro but the search has so far yielded nothing,” she lamented.

Namathe, a mother of one, said it was unusual for her husband to be away for even a day without calling to inform her of his whereabouts.

She called on anybody with information that could help trace Joshua Wanjala Odhiambo to inform the police or contact his family on cell phone 0728163515.
