Man on the run after allegedly killing his brother for stealing maize

Detectives are searching for a man who allegedly killed his brother over maize.

In a report by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspect, Robinson Techera, accused his older brother of stealing maize from his house.

“A physical confrontation ensued, drawing the attention of their father who intervened and separated them. The elder brother had, however, been overpowered in the fracas ,” DCI said in their statement.

On Sunday evening, the elder brother succumbed to his injuries.

Upon being informed of his brother’s death, Techera went into hiding.
