A man on Wednesday lost his manhood in Isiolo after a grenade was hurled at him.

K24 Digital has established that the man who was enjoying a drink at a local pub was hit by a grenade by unknown people.

According to the Kenya Police, officers had launched a manhunt to nab the people who hurled the grenade.

“Police are investigating an incident where one man was injured in the genitals after a grenade was hurled at him,” said the officers.

According to the police the grenade was aimed at a lady who was seated next to the victim inside a bar.

Witness say that the man was heard wailing as soon as the grenade hit him. He was quickly rushed to Isiolo Teaching and Referral Hospital and doctors are working round the clock to saw his life.

Abraham Kimani, who witnessed the incident said the man had stayed at the joint for over four hours.

Kimani said that they were shocked when a grenade was thrown at the man and it landed on his genitals.

“It is really absurd that someone could do this to a man. Police should work round the clock and ensure that the people behind this are arrested,” he said.

Another local Ben Ouma, said that the local joint was immediately closed after the incident.

He said that they were quickly asked to leave as the victim was rushed to hospital.

“I suspect that the grenade was being thrown towards the woman and it hit the man by mistake,” he said.

It is suspected that a police officer was involved in the attack.
