Detectives in Nairobi are currently holding a middle-aged man for allegedly threatening to kill another man and to cut him into small pieces.

According to the sleuths, Amar Dilip Shah, was arrested along General Mathenge street in Nairobi’s Westland’s area where he is alleged to have caused a scene.

“A scuffle ensued as the unruly suspect attempted to throw kicks and punches at the detective Inspector of police. But the officer who is also a martial arts specialist employed a few calculated tactical moves and subdued the man,” DCI said.

The suspect will face charges of threatening to kill contrary to section 223 (1) of the Penal Code.

DCI advised members of the public that assaulting a police officer, resisting or wilfully obstructing a police officer attracts a fine not exceeding Ksh1 million or imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years, or both.
