At least five people have been killed in the city in separate incidents in the last two weeks.

In Eastleigh, a gang whose members have since been arrested, stabbed Hassan Abdi Koote to death in unclear circumstances.

In another incident, a woman stabbed her two children to death before attempting to commit suicide following a quarrel with her mother.

Nairobi region police commander Philip Ndolo said the suspect, Winfred Kilonzo Nduku 25, went back home when she quarreled with the mother over the feeding of one of the children.

She picked a kitchen knife and stabbed Amina Tyrin Nduku 7, and Jamil Kilonzo 2.

After stabbing the two, she used the same knife and stabbed herself several times on the stomach.

Police say she will be interrogated and charged after she recovers.

On Sunday, May 10, police arrested a woman after she allegedly stabbed to death her boyfriend, a JKIA engineer, following a domestic dispute.

In a recorded shared online, the woman told police that she stabbed the man in self-defence after the two started fighting at the deceased’s Umoja house.
