Kenya Power has announced an extensive power outage in the country following a collapse of a high voltage electricity line connecting Kiambere to Embakasi in Nairobi.
The power supply agency said the incident happened at about 10:50 am on Tuesday.
“Our engineers are working to restore electricity supply as the repairs are being undertaken,” Kenya Power said in a statement.
The agency said the restoration progress update will be given in due course.
“We wish to apologise to our customers for the inconvenience caused,” the statement added.
A spot check by K24 Digital across the country showed there was a power outage in almost every corner of the country.
