According to witnesses, the attackers stormed Magunamu’s home at around 2:00 am, tied his hands, feet, and mouth, and set the house ablaze before fleeing into the night.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, though preliminary reports suggest it could be linked to a personal dispute.

Residents of Anjimbi Village have condemned the incident, expressing outrage and demanding swift justice. Some locals claim that the attack may have stemmed from a feud between Magunamu and a friend over a woman.
According to residents, cases of men clashing over romantic relationships are reportedly on the rise in the area. They claim that many such confrontations involve close friends who turn violent in attempts to scare away perceived rivals.
