Four children from Gatuanyaga, Thika, in Kiambu County who mysteriously disappeared on Sunday, January 2 afternoon have been found.

The two boys and two girls aged between seven and 12 years were playing in their home neighbourhood before they were allegedly forced into a vehicle whose other occupants are yet to be established.

Former Gatuanyaga Ward MCA Cecilia Wamaitha confirmed that the matter was reported to Gatuanyaga police post on Sunday when investigations commenced.

According to her, the children were reportedly caged inside a home within the same locality before they were drugged to lose their consciousness.

“One of the children however managed to break one of the windows which he used to save the others. We have managed to recover all of them in good state,” she said.

With the help of the children, Wamaitha revealed that sleuths are set to raid a house where the innocent kids had been housed in a bid to unravel the mystery and arrest the culprits involved.
