Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has confirmed the demise of his mother Monicah Njeri Waititu.
According to Ferdinand, his mother,93, succumbed to heart failure while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi on Sunday, February 20.
“I have lost a great friend and dearest mother who I always looked up to. She has always been my inspiration. She has been fighting other chronic diseases but finally succumbed to heart failure at Aga Khan Hospital,” he told the press.
She will be laid to rest later this week in Limuru.
