Deputy inspector General of police Edward Mbugua has made his way to Kianjokoma in Embu North in his quest to probe an investigation into the mystery death of the Embu brothers.

In company with the eastern regional commissioner Isaiah Nakoru ,Embu county commissioner Abdulahi Galgalo among other police bosses in Embu and Eastern Region, they first proceeded to the home of deceased brothers to condole with the family before the meeting.

Others present are Manyatta member of Parliament John Muchiri his Runyenjes counterpart Eric Muchangi and nominated MP Cecily Mbarire.

This comes three days after reports of the Embu brothers who were found dead hit media stations and netizens and family demanding justice for the Kianjomoka brothers.

The two, Benson Njiru Ndwiga ,22, and Emmanuel Mutura Ndwiga,19, were found lying in Embu mortuary days after being arrested by police for flouting curfew hours.

This saw Embu residents take to the streets for protest leaving two dead and others injured in a violent back and forth with GSU oficers.

Tension in the town is still high with locals seen speaking in low tone along the roads.

A postmortem done on Thursday, August 5 on bodies of two brothers revealed the two died in different ways.

While addressing the media after the postmortem, family advocate Muchangi Gichugu said Njiru’s body had multiple injuries on the head, broken limbs indicating that he might have jumped from a moving vehicle.

However the advocate said Njiru’s head had  multiple injuries and may also have been as a result of being hit by a blunt object.

Mutura’s body on the other hand had no injuries except on the head an indication that he was hit with a hard blunt object nullifying the notion that the boy jumped from a moving vehicle.

Gichugu said the family will pursue the criminal justice system to ensure justice is accorded to the family of the deceased.
