The body of the late Bonchari Member of Parliament (MP) John Oroo Oyioka will Tuesday afternoon be flown to Nairobi from Kisumu for preservation, his widow, Teresa Bitutu, says.

Oyioka died on Monday, February 15 while receiving treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu.

His spouse, Bitutu, said the lawmaker, who had been ailing for long, succumbed to stroke.

As at the time of publishing this story, the MP’s family and Kitutu Chache MP, Richard Onyonka, were arranging Oyioka’s airlifting to the capital.

Oyioka was elected to Parliament in the August 8, 2017 general election. He won the Bonchari parliamentary seat on a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ticket.
