Police in Bungoma have launched a manhunt for a woman identified as Evelyn Okello who allegedly attacked his 78-year-old father-in-law.

It is said that the woman bit off the man’s private parts at their home in Kimaeti sub-county Bumula in Bungoma County before taking off.

According to the elderly identified as Vincent Barasa, Evelyn Okello, his son’s second wife, attacked him as he tried to stop a fight between her and her friend.

He says he was taking his dinner when he heard a commotion in his son Godfrey Wekesa’s house. One of his grandchildren would then inform him that his daughter-in-law was physically fighting another lady.

He quickly rushed to the scene to try to resolve the matter in vain and decided to go back to his house.

It was at that point Evelyn followed him and hit him with a stone rendering him unconscious.

Later, the woman proceeded to bite his chest before biting his private parts.

“As I was going back, it seems the lady was angry so she threw a stone at me and struck the backside of my head. She then proceeded to bite my private parts,” he explained.

The commotion attracted the attention of the neighbours who gave the woman and her husband a thorough beating and rushed the old man to seek medical attention.

The woman later went into hiding. The matter remains under investigation.
