Sunday blackout to affect 3 counties

Kenya Power has issued a notice informing Kenyans of planned power interruptions that will affect three counties tomorrow, Sunday, April 9, 2024.

According to the utility company, the power interruptions will affect Nairobi, Machakos and Kisumu counties from 9 am to 5 pm.

“Hello. Please receive tomorrow’s (14th April 2024) planned maintenance for the listed areas,” a statement by Kenya Power read in parts.

The blackout in Nairobi will affect part of Polythene and Villa Franca areas including Polythene Industries, RAMCO Group Industrial Park, Shell Petrol Station Mombasa Road, Philips Business Park, Doshi Group of Companies, UR Home, Schneider Electric and adjacent customers.

In Machakos, the interruptions will affect areas such as Konza City, Konza Boreholes, Konza ABC, Konza Railway, IIpolosat, Lake Oil Petrol Station, Kapiti Plains, Kiasa, Kwa Katheka, Lower Kalimani, Dlima, Kalima Kathei, Kyumvi Junction, Lukenya Village, Lukenya Motorcross, Daystar University, Stoni Athi and adjacent customers.

The interruptions in Kisumu will affect Quickmart and Joventure areas including Sun Sport Club, Quickmart Supermarket Kondele, Joventure, KMET Institution and adjacent customers.
