United Democratic Alliance (UDA) presidential candidate William Ruto has congratulated the winners of the just concluded elections.

Taking to Facebook, Ruto said Kenyans are specifically celebrating the election of more women in power.

“Congratulations to all the aspirants who’ve emerged winners in the just concluded election. In particular, we celebrate because more women have broken barriers and ceilings to climb the political ladder. Best wishes as you embark on your new responsibilities,” he wrote.

Ruto implored elected leaders not to disappoint hustlers who he said rely on them for their economic empowerment.

“Hustlers are counting on you,” he added.

He made the remarks even as anxiety continues to heighten as Kenyans wait to know President Uhuru Kenyatta’s successor.

IEBC is expected to announce the final presidential tally before Tuesday next week.
