Nyeri: Mathira West police boss dies
By K24 Editorial, May 31, 2022Grief has hit the police fraternity in Nyeri county after Mathira west police boss Micheal Ndegwa died shortly after being rushed to hospital for treatment today afternoon.
Confirming the incident, Nyeri county police boss Steve Oloo said that Ndegwa has been ailing for some time and had been treated in several hospitals.
“Ndegwa has been ailing for a while now, he has been in and out of hospitals and had been continuing with his duties well, however today he developed complications and was rushed to Jamii where he died while being treated,” Oloo said.
Oloo described Ndegwa as a dedicated officer who has been performing his duties well and had eradicated criminal activities in his area of jurisdiction.
“As officers, we have lost a dedicated officer who had served Kenyans well in his service we are in a mourning mood at the moment,” Oloo said outside the hospital.
Officers who knew him thronged the morgue to mourn the departed police boss.
