KCPE results to be released Thursday morning

The results of the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams will be released on Thursday morning November 23, 2023 – the Ministry of Education has confirmed.

Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu will release KCPE results at the Kenya National Examinations Council’s New Mitihani House in South C at 8.00 am.

Machogu on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, announced that the marking for KCPE exams was over and that the results would be released anytime.

The Education CS also said the last group of KCPE candidates under the 8-4-4 system, which has been in place for the last 38 years and is now being phased out went well, sat for their exams with negligible cases of cheating reported.

“We have done the marking, it is finished and we will release the exams anytime next week,” the CS said after presiding over the 3rd Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Kenya international conference on girls’ education in Africa.

“We must say what we have is perfection because we are 99.9 per cent perfect. What we are going to give the country is credible exams where integrity has not been compromised in any way,” he added.

Machogu further stated that the government seeks to place 1.4 million students who sat the KCPE in respective secondary schools before Christmas to allow parents time to prepare for Form One admissions.
