FKF PL: Mid-season signings turning heads with immediate brilliance

While this period often comes with its own challenges—with many players struggling to live up to expectations—a few FKF Premier League sides are already reaping the rewards from those who have hit the ground running.
Gor Mahia’s Ebenezer Assifuah ranks among the standout new additions who have made a telling contribution so far this season.
Others include Kenya Police hitman Yves Koutiama and Shabana FC’s foreign trio, who have proved pivotal to their team’s resurgent league campaigns.The Gor Mahia ace is by far the most outstanding midseason signing in the FKF PL transfer window.
Ebenezer Assifuah has quickly become Gor Mahia’s go-to man for goals.
The Ghanaian forward has bagged four league goals so far, underlining his rapid adaptation at K’Ogalo.
He has also shown a similar impact in the FKF Cup, providing an assist in Gor Mahia’s winning start to their campaign—a victory over lower-tier side Dero FC on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Kisumu.
His prolific form has particularly inspired Charles Akonnor’s side during their second-half resurgence, helping K’Ogalo maintain a six-point lead at the top of the FKF Premier League standings.
Isaac Omweri
The marauding left-footed defender has been an instant hit in Mathare United’s circles since swapping the yellow and green of Naivasha for the Slum Boys’ crest and colours.
The left-back has been a key pivot in a pair of Mathare’s goals, delivering an assist and scoring a wonder goal in John Kamau’s side’s crucial win over Tusker FC on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Pappa Diallo and Brian Olega
Shabana FC’s midseason transfer strategy is paying rich dividends. Brian Olega has already netted two league goals, while Pappa Diallo scored once in the win over Posta Rangers and was at his marauding best against Tusker in their previous league clash.
Tore Bobe remains third on the pile, with the team’s fan base fancying what the future holds as far as the impact of new signings is anything to go by.
