Top 3 in sight as Murang’a Seal entertains APS Bomet
By Luke Oluoch, February 1, 2026An in-form Murang’a Seal side returns to their home turf seeking to add FKF PL newbies APS Bomet to their casualty list this Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the San Sebastien Park.
The clash comes as the visiting Sammy Omollo’s side takes their hunt for maximum points against the in-form hosts.
Osborne Monday’s team is riding high on an impressive January spell.
January hunt
The club won all their fixtures in the spell, bar the late 3-2 defeat to Gor Mahia at Moi Kasarani Stadium a couple of weeks ago.
In the month, victories against Mathare United and Bidco assured Seals of their continued ascent of the league table.
The club was further boosted with the FKF Leagues and Competition Committee (LCC) awarding them full points from the abandoned clash against Ulinzi Stars in a ruling delivered on Friday, January 30, 2026.
With the verdict, Seals shot to fifth on 27 points. although the club has since dropped down after the results from Saturday, January 31 encounters.
The TuriAmumbi side entertains prospects of storming the top three with a win against Bomet.

Seal only recently lost their cherished record of the league’s longest unbeaten run. However, they boast the league’s joint second-best scoring form, after leaders Gor Mahia, affirming their impressive run of form.
Mercurial Joe Waithira
Led by mercurial skipper Joe Waithira, they are favourites for the encounter, boosted by a home advantage and run of form.
An unpredictable APS Bomet, however, lies in wait. The team just never knows when they have been beaten, as witnessed in their most recent encounter against Shabana.
Defying a two-goal deficit and being a man less, Bomet mounted a memorable fightback to force the tie to a share of spoils, denying visiting Peter Okidi’s team in a 3-3 draw.
Pamzo exuded optimism that his charges are soon turning a corner, and it remains to be seen if the words come to fruition and earn them their first league victory since their resounding wiping of the floor with Gor Mahia in a 4-1 win.
The clash kicked off Pamzo’s dream start after dumping Posta Rangers for the novel challenge, but subsequent clashes have seen success hard to come by.
The clash will kick off at 3:00 pm.
