Pamzo demands more push from APS Bomet ahead of Gor Mahia duel

APS Bomet coach Sammy Pamzo Omollo has demanded that his charges display their best performance ahead of more demanding fixtures with Gor Mahia FC, next in their case, in the Football Kenya Premier League games.

The Kericho-based club finally snapped their recent losing streak with Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Nairobi United, an outcome that Pamzo hailed as a result that was a long time coming after it helped the struggling outfit jump out of the relegation zone.

Confidence

“We have been waiting for this one victory to restore our confidence levels. We now want to continue this run and keep winning,” he stated.

Heading to the tie against Gor Mahia, Pamzo demanded a repeat of the same valiant spirit displayed against the Naibois during the encounter at the Nyayo National Stadium.

“First, we now have to push ourselves much more. We want to continue with this run for the game against Gor Mahia. We have to push more and harder as a team,” he challenged.

The coach has also said that he will consider employing striker Dickson Mwangi Wambugu for a run of games after his superb cameo show in previous games.

Super sub Mwangi

Mwangi proved crucial to the victory, dispatching home a second-half goal to put the Administration men 2-0 up, before new signing Muhadjiri Hakizimana pulled a goal back for Geoffrey Oduor’s side.

“It is not the first time Dickson has come in and impacted a game for us: he did so against Shabana, and I think it’s about time I get to use him more often,” he stated.

The encounter against Gor Mahia will pit the seasoned tactician against his former employers and a club he also featured for during his heydays as a defender renowned for his tough and abrasive approach to strikers.

APS Bomet vs Gor Mahia

Pamzo enjoyed a dream debut at Bomet, handing Charles Akonnor’s charges a 4-1 hiding in his Bomet bow in the FKF PL earlier, in what promises to add a different impetus to the return fixture.

The runaway log leaders will be out not only to avenge a first-leg loss but also to extend their advantage at the helm of the standings.
