AFC Leopards’ National Executive Committee (NEC) has issued a stern warning to a section of fans following Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Kariobangi Sharks, stating that forceful entries to the stadium during matchday will no longer be tolerated.

In a statement on Monday, March 30, 2026, Leopards, while portraying gratitude to the fans for coming out in numbers, warned against the tendency of a few individuals attempting to storm the gates without valid tickets.

“A total of 4183 tickets were sold in our match against Kariobangi Sharks at Nyayo Stadium yesterday. We take this opportunity to thank all of us for purchasing the tickets,” part of the statement read.

“We are also requesting the few fans who want to make forceful entry to the stadium without paying to desist from that behaviour.”

In a move aimed at ensuring fans’ safety, the committee directed the culpable to refrain from the act.

The second-placed club claimed a crucial 1-0 win over Kariobangi Sharks to move within touching distance of Gor Mahia FC at the summit of the log.

Ambani’s warning

However, with optimism from the famous win still high, Fred Ambani has sounded a warning over an equally tough round of fixtures as Ingwe heads into the league homestretch.

Speaking on Sunday, March 29, 2026, the gaffer expressed hope that his charges will carry their winning momentum into the upcoming matches.

“It was a tough game against a team that played really well. I really think it is an important win looking at the games ahead of us, and I hope we carry it from there,” he stated.

The title hopefuls next travel away to face sixth-placed Murang’a Seal on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

That clash will coincide with Gor Mahia’s date against Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Ingwe will then face reigning league champions Police FC before taking on Ulinzi Stars in their subsequent assignment.
