KF Premier League side Murang’a Seal has confirmed the departure of their rising star, Paul Osama, who is set to move abroad to paid ranks in Sweden.

In a statement posted on the club’s official Facebook page this Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the Murang’a-based outfit disclosed that the youngster is headed to the Scandinavian nation.

The club took the opportunity to express its gratitude to the reliable attacker for his consistent service.

“From Murang’a to Sweden. Paul Osama, you gave this badge everything—the goals, the fight, and the moments we’ll never forget. Now it’s your time. Sweden awaits… go shine, go conquer. We’re proud of you,” the club statement read.

Breakthrough campaign

The 18-year-old talent has been a crucial cog in Seal’s 2025/2026 campaign, helping the club make its mark in top-flight football. By the end of February 2026, Osama had already accumulated three goals and two assists, ranking him among the most exciting young prospects in the league.

Osama, who rose through the ranks at Mombasa United before joining Seal, shared his ambitions of making a name for himself on the global stage.

“It has been a tough first season in the KPL, but I have comfortably settled in,” Osama recently stated in an interview with a local publication.

“In the first leg, I played 14 out of 17 matches and scored two goals. My target is always to push for more. I have the eagerness to dream big; that is what drove me from the National Super League to the FKF PL,” he said.

The Scandinavian Pathway

Osama’s switch to Sweden continues a long-standing trend of Kenyan players using Scandinavia as a gateway to European football. He follows in the footsteps of Harambee Stars icons such as McDonald Mariga and Jamal Mohammed, as well as contemporary stars like Stanley Wilson (AIK), Ovella Ochieng, and Johanna Omondi.

Blessed with an ability to take on defenders, Osama is also acclaimed for an eye for goal and breaking tight defenses with his brilliant individual dribbling skills and a lethal left foot.
