Muguna hails youngsters Wangaya, Madada and Aroko as trio shine in KPL

Former Gor Mahia captain Kenneth Muguna has described AFC Leopards forward Kelly Madada, Kariobangi Sharks prodigy Humphrey Aroko and Nairobi United star Kevin Wangaya as the next big names in the local football ecosystem.
Taking to his social media pages on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Muguna said the three youngsters will be untouchable in the coming days, as they keep inspiring their respective clubs consistently. His sentiments come shortly after Wangaya was named the FKF Premier League’s Player of the Month for April.
Wangaya, Aroko, Madada. I have watched them closely, and I can confidently say that they will be untouchable in years to come, both at club level and national level,” Muguna said.
The 20-year-old attacker earned the individual honour after contributing three goals and three assists in five matches, emerging as one of the standout performers in the league in April.
The Kenya Under-20 international becomes the second youngest player to win the monthly accolade, following Kariobangi Sharks’ teenage sensation Humphrey Aroko, who claimed the award in February at the age of 17.
The young talent, who rose through the ranks at Highway High School, has spearheaded the Sharks’ survival quest. He scored twice and claimed as many assists in four games for William Muluya’s team.
Aroko’s poker in FKF Cup
His standout performance included a clinical demolition of Kenyatta University (KU) in the FKF Cup Round of 32. That feat cemented his status as one of the competition’s leading scorers and secured the Sharks a berth in the Round of 16.
Aroko was also named 2nd Runner-Up in the 2025 Most Promising Sports Personality of the Year at an awards ceremony held on Friday night, April 10, 2026.

For Kelly Madada, the youngster has been pivotal in inspiring AFC Leopards to a successful 2025/26 Football Kenya Federation Premier League. Madada scored the opening goal as Ingwe edged Ulinzi Stars to close in on Gor Mahia in the title race on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
