KCB hosts Kabras in top-of-the-table clash as Kenya Cup season enters homestretch

A highly anticipated encounter will unfold at KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka, where KCB Rugby face off with reigning champions Kabras Sugar in a top-of-the-table clash.
In Nakuru, Menengai Oilers will enjoy home advantage at the ASK Showground when they host MMUST RFC. At Ngong Racecourse, Nondescripts will take on Daystar Falcons. Meanwhile, Kenyatta University will host a crucial showdown between KU Blak Blad and Impala RFC.
Along Ngong Road at the RFUEA Grounds, Kenya Harlequin will battle Kisumu RFC. In Nakuru, Nakuru Athletics Club will host the encounter between Nakuru RFC and Strathmore Leos.
Table standings
In the table standings, defending champions Kabras Sugar RFC continue to set the pace at the top of the Kenya Cup standings after matchday eight, sitting comfortably on forty points. Hot on their heels are Menengai Oilers, who also boast forty points, while KCB Rugby remain firmly in the mix at position three with thirty-nine points. The top three look well settled for now, with all three sides still unbeaten, turning the title race into a battle of consistency and nerve as the season edges closer to the final stretch.
The fight for the playoff spots is where the real tension lies. Strathmore Leos currently occupy position four, but Daystar Falcons are breathing down their necks after back-to-back wins that have pushed them firmly into contention. KU Blak Blad sit sixth with nineteen points, keeping their playoff hopes alive. It has been a bumpy ride for Nondescripts RFC, who, despite having a game in hand, have managed only fourteen points.
The relegation battle is even tighter, stretching from position eight to twelve. Kenya Harlequins, Nakuru RFC, and Impala RFC are all tied on twelve points, separated only by goal difference. Below the red line sit MMUST Rugby with ten points and Kisumu RFC with eight. With just three matches left, the table could shift in any direction as playoff ambitions grow sharper and the relegation axe looms ever larger.
