Man U and Fulham match

Manchester United edged Fulham 3-2 after Benjamin Sesko scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner in a pulsating Premier League encounter at Old Trafford, extending Michael Carrick’s perfect start as head coach.

United appeared to be cruising after taking a commanding two-goal lead, but a late Fulham resurgence threatened to derail the hosts before Sesko’s decisive intervention in the dying moments.

The home side opened the scoring midway through the first half when Casemiro rose highest to power a header into the far corner following a well-delivered Bruno Fernandes free-kick.

Despite taking the lead, United struggled to impose full control, with Fulham showing composure and intent on the ball.

United doubled their advantage shortly after the break through Matheus Cunha. A loose ball in midfield allowed Casemiro to slip a precise pass through Fulham’s defence, and Cunha made no mistake from a tight angle, rifling his effort past the goalkeeper.

Fulham, however, refused to fold. Their persistence was rewarded late on when Raúl Jiménez converted confidently from the penalty spot, lifting the ball into the top corner to give the visitors renewed belief.

The victory ensures United maintain their perfect record under Carrick, while Fulham were left heartbroken after coming agonisingly close to earning a point from a thrilling contest.
