Gor Mahia currently sits at the summit with 64 points after 30 matches, holding a commanding nine-point lead over arch-rivals AFC Leopards.
Next on their weekend roster is a formidable third-place Police side, who trail the leaders by 13 points but remain one of the most in-form teams in the country.

Charles Akonnor’s men are in the driver’s seat in the race to dethrone the former champions and are eyeing a march toward the silverware with a win against the very opponent that pipped them to the title in 2025.
The Ghanaian tactician has successfully steered the side through an intense campaign, recently tightening their grip on the trophy with vital back-to-back 1-0 wins over AFC Leopards in the Mashemeji Derby and a last-gasp victory against Kakamega Homeboyz last weekend.
Police have enjoyed a spectacular resurgence under coach Nicholas Muyoti. Currently on a seven-game unbeaten run, Police FC has transformed into a clinical unit that is taking no prisoners.
