Gor Mahia, Shabana in action as FKF league continues with round 19 fixtures
By Joel Masibo, January 26, 2026Record champions Gor Mahia will get back to action as the 2025/26 Football Kenya Federation Premier League season continues with Round 19, as matches are spread across Wednesday, January 28, 2026, Saturday, January 31, 2026 and Sunday, February 1, 2026.
The action continues on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, January 28, with two rescheduled encounters. Bandari FC will host Kenya Police FC at the KPA Sports Club in Mbaraki from 2:00 pm, while Nairobi United FC face APS Bomet FC at Nyayo Stadium at 3:00 pm.
Saturday action
On Saturday, January 31, 2026, four matches are lined up across the country. Tusker FC will battle Posta Rangers FC at the SportPesa Arena in Murang’a in a 3:00 pm kickoff. Mathare United FC entertain KCB FC at Kasarani Annex from 2:00 pm.
Two matches will be broadcast live on television, with Kakamega Homeboyz FC hosting Mara Sugar FC at Bukhungu Stadium at 2:00 pm, before league leaders Gor Mahia FC take on relegation-threatened Sofapaka FC at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi from 4:00 pm in what is expected to be one of the standout fixtures of the round.
The final batch of matches will be played on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Relegation-threatened Kariobangi Sharks FC will face Ulinzi Stars FC at Kasarani Annex at 2:00 pm. Shabana FC welcome Bandari FC to Gusii Stadium in Kisii at the same time in a televised match.
Later in the day, defending champions Kenya Police FC will host Bidco United FC at Police Sacco Stadium in Nairobi at 4:00 pm in another live TV fixture, while Murang’a SEAL FC conclude the round against APS Bomet FC at SportPesa Arena at 3:00 pm.
Postponed fixture
Meanwhile, the clash between AFC Leopards SC and Nairobi United FC, which was scheduled to be played at Nyayo Stadium, has been postponed to a later date as Naibois will be honouring continental assignments.
With crucial points at stake as the season approaches its decisive phase, fans can expect an intense weekend of football as teams battle to strengthen their league positions and push for their respective targets.
