FKF PL: Gor Mahia seek to widen gap at the top in Posta Rangers test

By , March 4, 2026

The Kenya Premier League leaders, Gor Mahia, aim to extend their impressive run and strengthen their position at the top of the table this Wednesday, March 4, 2026, when they face Posta Rangers.

The 4:00 pm clash at Nyayo National Stadium pits two sides experiencing contrasting fortunes at opposite ends of the league standings.

Gor Mahia have established themselves as early favourites for the title. They currently sit atop the table with a six-point lead with 49 points after 22 games.

Posta’s dismal run

Posta Rangers, meanwhile, are desperate to halt a dismal campaign that has left them sitting in 13th place with just 24 points from 22 games, with only a handful of matches remaining in the season.

This has been a chastening season for the Mailmen, who started strongly under coach Sammy “Pamzo” Omollo but have since faded dramatically and now find themselves battling to avoid relegation from the top tier.

Posta Rangers are also looking to end their own prolonged struggles, which have extended to a winless run of 10 league matches.

Their resolve to upend Gor is made even tougher by K’Ogalo‘s dominant form; not only have K’Ogalo been nearly unbeatable in the league, but they also hold a strong head-to-head record against Posta Rangers.

Gor’s league cruise

Gor Mahia have not lost a single league encounter to them since 2024. Most recently, they inflicted a humbling 3-0 defeat in October 2025 in the first meeting this season.

Overturning that result now appears even more daunting given Gor’s current momentum, which includes a seven-game unbeaten streak.

Offensively, Gor Mahia has been in fine form, scoring nine goals across four matches in February 2026 while conceding just twice—highlighting their attacking efficiency and defensive solidity.

A win for K’Ogalo would further bolster their title charge, potentially restoring or extending a nine-point lead at the top of the league.

In another FKF PL fixture, Nairobi United hosts KCB FC at Ulinzi Complex in a mid-table clash. 10th-place Naibois approaches the clash intent on catching up with the Bankers, who have bettered their league performance so far by three points only.

The tie kicks off at 4:00 pm
