Private yacht and beach vibes: Haaland treats himself to an expensive vacation

In a video shared on Saturday, August 8, 2026, the goal-scoring machine showed off his golf skills aboard what appeared to be a white private yacht.
The surroundings showed Haaland deep inside the sea, embracing the warm breeze and beach vibes after a busy World Cup schedule.
Haaland and a close friend
On that expensive vacation, the Manchester City striker was accompanied by a close friend, fashion entrepreneur, and PrettyLittleThing co-founder Umar Kamani, with their relationship taking them from Manchester to some of the world’s most glamorous destinations.
The pair reportedly first met in 2022, shortly after Haaland completed his move to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund. What began through mutual connections has since grown into a friendship that has included luxury holidays, yacht excursions, private gatherings and training sessions.
In his latest video, Haaland admitted that he is slowly picking up after a historic 2026 World Cup campaign.
‘I just had a two-hour nap, I was dreaming that I was in the US, my head is still over there in the World Cup. We have been picking every single day just more and more. And now we are just up here, life is good.’ The Man City star said.
Kamani has also become acquainted with members of Haaland’s family and was reportedly alongside them during Norway’s World Cup campaign. More recently, the two friends have been seen spending time together on the French Riviera.
How Haaland and Kamani first met
According to reports, Haaland and Kamani were introduced shortly after the Norwegian forward arrived at Manchester City in 2022.
Haaland joined the Premier League champions from Borussia Dortmund in a deal reportedly worth about £51 million. His father, Alf-Inge Haaland, had previously represented Manchester City during his playing career.
Kamani already had links with several Manchester City players and was introduced to Haaland through their shared circle. The two quickly discovered that they had several interests in common, helping their friendship develop rapidly.
Their connection extends well beyond football. Both have an interest in luxury watches, travelling and maintaining their fitness, while their social lives have taken them to destinations including Dubai and Monaco.
During the break surrounding the 2022 World Cup, Haaland reportedly travelled to Dubai after Norway failed to qualify for the tournament and stayed at Kamani’s home.
The following year, Haaland and his father joined Kamani aboard a luxury yacht. Among those reportedly present was fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, while the trip also gave Haaland an opportunity to meet Monaco’s Prince Albert II.
Kamani subsequently held another star-studded gathering in Dubai, which Haaland attended alongside his girlfriend. A number of prominent figures from the world of boxing and the Olympic movement were also reportedly at the event.
The pair have even shared their fitness routines. Haaland has visited Kamani’s private gym in Dubai, where they have been pictured exercising and taking ice baths.
Haaland and Kamani enjoy French Riviera getaway
Their friendship has more recently taken them to the French Riviera, where Haaland and Kamani reportedly spent time at the renowned Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes.
The getaway came after a particularly demanding campaign for Haaland. The Manchester City forward is reported to have featured in 67 matches for both club and country, making the break an opportunity to unwind following a hectic schedule.
Kamani, meanwhile, has established himself as a major figure in the fashion industry. He launched PrettyLittleThing with his brother Adam in 2012, and the company went on to become a major fast-fashion brand by producing affordable clothing influenced by celebrity and social-media trends.
Raised in Manchester as part of a large family, Kamani has built a successful business career away from football.
Haaland and Kamani’s relationship has consequently developed around a variety of shared interests rather than their connection to the sport alone. Their mutual enthusiasm for fitness, travel, luxury and business has helped cement an unlikely friendship between the Manchester City star and the fashion entrepreneur.
