Mbeumo hails Rashford’s return to Manchester United squad

By , September 4, 2026

Manchester United star Bryan Mbeumo has expressed his delight at welcoming teammate Marcus Rashford back to the club ahead of the new Premier League season.

Speaking on Thursday, September 3, 2026, the Cameroonian winger shared his thoughts on the potential and threat his fellow flanker possesses, backing him for a successful spell with his boyhood club.

The United winger spent last season at Barcelona after the Catalan side opted against making his move permanent, instead signing his compatriot Anthony Gordon.

Looks happy

“It’s fantastic to have him back in the squad,” Mbeumo told Sky Sports. “We all recognise his talent and the difference he makes for the club. He looks genuinely happy to be here with us. Everyone is playing their part in creating this positive vibe.”

Following his return, Rashford has recaptured his best form and impressed in the opening two games, where United lost to Hull City before bouncing back in emphatic fashion to thrash Ipswich Town 5-2 on Saturday.
