Liverpool fight back to salvage a draw against Nottingham Forest in Anfield thriller

The Reds had to fight back from behind twice to secure a point for the second straight match, with goals from Alexander Isak and Victor Muoz coming in handy.
Forest dominated the early exchanges and created several clear chances in a game that Iraola has challenged his team to bring the fight and intensity.
Alisson Becker made a string of fine saves to keep Liverpool level. However, Forest broke the deadlock when Igor Jesus seized on a loose ball and set up Dan Ndoye, who curled a fine finish into the far corner.
Offside goal
Liverpool thought they had equalised before the breakthrough by Florian Wirtz. The goal was ruled out after Jeremie Frimpong was caught offside in the buildup.
Wirtz almost scored again minutes later, but Matz Sels produced a brilliant save to deny his header. At the other end, Alisson produced another save to prevent the hots from trailing further, the team heading to the breather with a reaction needed in the second half.
The hosts found their spark in the second half. Alexander Isak levelled in the 59th minute by tapping in a low cross across the face of the goal.
It marked his first competitive goal for Liverpool at the Anfield backyard under the new Spanish manager, Iraola.
Forest regained the lead with twenty minutes remaining. Substitute Liam Delap caught Liverpool napping from a quick throw-in. Alisson brought down Neco Williams in the box, and Morgan Gibbs-White converted the resulting penalty.
Munoz’s super strike
With twenty minutes left to salvage something, Liverpool responded immediately to set up a tense finish. Victor Muñoz marked his first competitive start by firing a sensational strike into the roof of the net.
The Spanish attacker signed from Osasuna, picking up the ball inside the box before rifling an unstoppable shot past Sellz to level matters once more.
Neither side could find a winner during five minutes of stoppage time. Liverpool were left to settle for a point ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
The draw leaves Reds on four point after picking up a point against Newcastle in the previous opening fixture, as Forest bounced back after opening their opener on a lose.
